About the Drinks

Hand-crafted pisco, agave and whiskey cocktails by Enrique Sanchez

Peruvian native, Enrique Sanchez made his very first pisco sour at a family gathering when he was just 14. He always dreamed of life in the US and at 21 moved to San Francisco and fell in love with the hospitality industry. With more than 10 bars under his belt, Enrique’s journey in some of San Francisco’s most prestigious venues has primed him to create an exciting bar program at School Night. Pisco-centric classics pay homage to the flavors and traditions from his Peruvian upbringing while Whiskey and Agave cocktails shed a light on ingredients he’s discovered as part of his American experience.

About the food

Latin-inspired bites from our wood burning oven by Traci Des Jardins

Traci Des Jardins has been a part of the San Francisco food community for 25 years and has opened many great San Francisco restaurants. She currently runs a diverse group of eateries, including her iconic Jardinière, the Ferry Building-located Mijita Cocina Mexicana and Public House in AT&T Park. School Night is her first bar led concept. Her dishes are centered around the wood burning oven, featuring surprising flavors-- perfect to snack on when sneaking out on a school night. Traci has brought in her longstanding team, Chef de Cuisine Audie Golder and Director of Operations Amy Reynolds, to officially put the Des Jardins stamp on School Night.

Meet General Manager

Riley Bartlett

Riley Bartlett was born and raised in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood. He got his start working in restaurants as a host and food runner at the Beach Chalet where he was known for poorly seating servers and dropping steak sandwiches on guests. After studying International Relations at the American University in D.C. Riley moved to Ghana to work for an NGO, but missed the restaurant world and ended up getting a night job at a reggae bar on the beach, where he was affectionately known as Ras-Riley. Missing his hometown and family, Riley moved back to San Francisco and landed a job working for the Delfina Restaurant Group where he helped open Pizzeria Delfina Burlingame. Next stop, Riley cut his hair and shined his shoes for the Michelin-Starred restaurant, Spruce, where he held a management position for numerous years.

Now, he has arrived at School Night! Riley’s experience, enthusiasm and humor brings the perfect element to this weeknight bar concept. When he’s not at School Night and not picking up his phone, you can find him between Fort Funston and the Cliff House running his dog or “shreddin’ the gnar” (surfing).
